TSB Stands: Lauren

I came across The Simply Beloved a few months ago while Pinteresting and Intstagraming (surprise surprise). At the time, I had been blogging on my own for a bit but was looking for a community to get involved in that had the same interests and beliefs as me. God had put it on my heart to share Christ through writing, so when I found TSB, I felt so blessed.

For me, The Simply Beloved is a real, tangible outlet for girls to reach God in an authentic manner. There are no rules or judgments being made, just genuine people searching for a way to stand firm in Christ. Among the many wonderful things TSB does for its community, there are a few that stick out to me personally.

First of all, it creates fellowship. Being a Christian is difficult, and it should be.

The Lord’s work is hard work, but if we have brothers and sisters in Christ to do it alongside us, it makes our sacrifices and persecution easier to bear.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24–25

Jesus had disciples because He could not fulfill His mission on earth without them. Similarly, we cannot fully live a life for Christ without other believers to carry us some of the way. We will be knocked down, we will have questions – we are human. But a community like TSB makes finding Jesus and turning our lives over to Him a much more joyful process. We desperately need each other, and I thank God every day for women willing to sacrifice so much for a community like this one.

Secondly, it forms a channel in which we can share the gospel on a vast platform. As we all know, the Internet and social media have grown tremendously over the last decade, so it only makes sense to use that for the advancement of the kingdom.

And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16

What The Simply Beloved does is allow us as writers, photographers, entrepreneurs, artists, etc. to boldly and lovingly share Christ. Praise and acts of service are sacrifices – ones we can now do anywhere, at any time. In Hosea 14, he mentions offering ‘the fruit of our lips’. TSB is the perfect way to do that.

I hope that The Simply Beloved has served you well and that you continue to share it with others. This community has done such wonderful things so far, and I cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to use it. This is not just any website or a social media account; this is a vessel being used by our Heavenly Father to share His love by encouraging others to find Jesus. It warms my heart to watch these girls behind the scenes doing SO much to get the gospel out there. I am honored to be a small part of this movement and humbled that God lead me to these women. They are my friends, my sisters, my inspiration, and I am eternally grateful that God put them in my life.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever.
