TSB Stands: Cailyn

The Simply Beloved came into my life at the perfect time. I was finishing up my senior year of college and finally felt like I was getting on track with my life and my relationship with God. However, I often felt like I was going through my walk alone and lacked friends and a support system that were on the same page as me at that particular time of my life.

I started following The Simply Beloved Instagram when there were only 4 followers! I remember seeing it and thinking it sounded neat. Then, I realized I knew Deb, one of the founders! I instantly searched the blog and read the posts they had up so far, and I knew in my heart I wanted to be apart of it. Crazy enough, a couple of weeks later I decided to reach out to Deb and tell her my story and where I was in life, to which she replied that I had been on her heart and wanted to bring me on the blog team as a writer.

Wow! Talk about perfect timing and guidance from God! From the get go, I was so excited about the potential the blog had and the major opportunity to use the social media platform to reach so many women.

Never in my wildest dreams did I know at that time what God had in store for The Simply Beloved. I knew we were all a team of dreamers, but God truly worked so fast to spread the word of the blog and bring so many amazing other women on board. Now, two and a half years later, I am reflecting on such an incredible journey.

There have been times where I was tested to step outside of my comfort zone and write on topics I didn’t know I could. There have been times when I felt so busy that I didn’t know if I could get my article finished and perfected in time. There have been times where I worried if my articles would upset people for being so bold. There have been times where I didn’t know if I said the right thing.

But what I’ve learned is these aren’t MY articles — they are God’s words spoken through me. I could never do this on my own without Him and the support of the other women on the team, as well as my family and friends.

It takes guts to stand up for what you believe in, and everyone on the TSB team does it daily. I have grown so much in the past two and a half years by being apart of this community. I am constantly humbled by the beautiful souls on this team.

We are standing together as a team, and we want you to join us. It’s time to stand up for what you really believe in.
