“Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. and though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Spread love like glitter. An empty phrase that becomes full of purpose when we put it into action.
This is the greatest gift of life my friends, you and I have been given a love that cannot fully be comprehended with words. I mean, this love knows no bounds. When a dear one presents you a gift, our immediate thought processes tell us we do not deserve it. We say,”Oh how kind of you, but you shouldn’t have!” What makes us take the gift? The persistence of our loved one convincing us that we do deserve it, and how they desired to give it to us specifically.
We at The Simply Beloved love you, because Christ first loved us. We allow ourselves to be God’s hands and feet through creating a place on social media where we can proclaim the love of the gospel to you through real and raw conversations, even when the not-so-pretty situations must be discussed. We pray and hope you have in some way been touched and blessed through this ministry. Now, we want this blog to take action outside of our social media screens. Yes, we are reading, listening, and gaining fruitful insights on how to live our lives with purpose. Yet, are we doing them?
The Bible says, “Be doers of the Word, not only hearers” (James 1:22).
Are we going to remain bundling up all this goodness to ourselves? Therefore; we challenge you to not only commit an act of love for a just a day, a week nor a season, but as a daily lifestyle. For this was the lifestyle Jesus lived.
Dear ones, this is not a world changing proclamation, nor a solution to a loveless and dark world. The remedy has already been revealed through Jesus Christ many years ago, and now it’s our duty to spread the good news everywhere. It’s important to note that Jesus never forced His love on anyone, but simply the love that He bestowed on the people caused many to draw to Him. Firstly, that should be our goal, beloveds. We should be absorbing Christ’s love through immersing ourselves in His Word, prayer and fellowship where the main theme of the Bible is love.
For God is love, if we know God we know love. If God dwells within you, love will dwell within you.
Normally I’d like to share a few tips on how we can spread the divine love of God, but I want you to put your faith into action by praying specifically how you can daily shed the light of the gospel into someone’s life. We are all at different stages in life, in many different parts of the world, but that’s the best part. The Holy Spirit works differently in each individual’s life, and we all receive our unique calling. What gifts has the Lord given you? Remember, if you have not love, it profits nothing. We do not desire to be a clanging cymbal which becomes just noise; it’s meaningless. Whatever you accomplish in life, if it’s done without love, it’s pointless. You can speak daily to your peers, but if your words are spoken without love, they’re empty.
Finally, sisters, whoever you live for, if it’s not the divine love of Jesus, it contains no value. Not living for Jesus means living for yourself. Oh, how tragic it is that so many people are living for themselves today, they need the love of Jesus in their lives.
When you spread love to them, they receive a tiny glimpse of Jesus.
Promote the love of God, because at the root of His definition of love, “agape” there lies the true and living God that you can have a continual relationship with. It’s proven through God’s plan of Jesus dying on the cross for us. Promote the gospel by spreading God’s love like glitter. When you commit your loving act, do it because you love Jesus. Add it to your profession, your family, and daily encounters. For as the wind carries the glistening and shimmering glitter to places beyond, watch the Holy Spirit carry your love to places you couldn’t possibly imagine.
